Hello Contemporary Learning Academy Community,
My name is Ciani Williams and I am a Principal Resident at Contemporary Learning Academy (CLA) High School within Denver Public Schools (DPS). I have nineteen years completed in education–ten years of teaching, four years of leadership, and five years in administration. I am also a current doctoral student at the University of Denver Morgridge College of Education for Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (Ed.D).
As a participant in the executive leadership principal program called the Learn to Lead Principal Residency, this leadership residency cultivates leaders that are dedicated to being agents of change in K-12 education. This is fostered through personal and professional growth, instilling a sense of responsibility, and prioritizing the holistic needs of achievement for every student.
As a part of this journey, Principal Lisa Wolford will step away for two weeks (Monday, May 4th-Friday, May 15th, 2026) to allow me the opportunity to grow & lead as your school principal in her absence. I am incredibly grateful for the support of our dedicated staff and families as I step into this role. I look forward to leading our school community during these two weeks and continuing the great work we’ve started together this year.
